DAP Operator | Night Shift | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Location: Concord, NC (100% Onsite)

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, W2

Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term Contract

Schedule: Night Shift, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Anticipated Start Date: November 2026

Contract Duration: Approximately 13 months, with an estimated end date of December 2027


About the Opportunity

Brooksource Engineering Services is hiring Device Assembly and Packaging (DAP) Operators to support a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Concord, North Carolina.


This opportunity offers the chance to work in a highly automated, regulated manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and operational excellence are essential to producing pharmaceutical products that make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.


In this role, you will operate, monitor, and support troubleshooting of automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment while ensuring compliance with established safety procedures, quality standards, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).


We are currently hiring for night-shift positions only. Candidates must be available to work the assigned overnight schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and make adjustments to automated and semi-automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment, including labeling, cartoning, and case-packing machinery.
  • Support manufacturing operations while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and established manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify alarms or malfunctions, and communicate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete and verify production documentation, including electronic batch records, manufacturing system transactions, and equipment cleaning logs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report product quality concerns, equipment issues, process deviations, and safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality assurance, and other manufacturing support teams.
  • Support line clearance, inspection, and packaging activities to ensure product quality and accountability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and training compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Experience following standard operating procedures and maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Concord, NC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating automated or highly automated manufacturing or packaging equipment.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and electronic batch records.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, including 5S.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical device assembly, packaging, or inspection operations.
  • Experience identifying equipment issues, responding to alarms, and supporting basic troubleshooting activities.

Work Schedule and Shift Details

Night Shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

This position follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour overnight shifts, including weekends.

  • Alternating three-day and four-day workweeks
  • Typically 36 scheduled hours one week and 48 scheduled hours the next
  • Regularly scheduled days off throughout the two-week rotation
  • 100% onsite at the manufacturing facility in Concord, NC

Additional overtime may be required based on production needs.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with manufacturing and packaging operations.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.
